"The Waldcast Story"

In describing broadcaster Ronnie Wald, USC All American & West Ranch Coach Casey Burrill says "there is none better." A proud Pacific Pioneer Broadcaster, Wald has aired Pepperdine, Cal State Fullerton, San Diego State, Cal State Northridge, Seattle U, University of San Diego, UC Riverside, Sonoma State, Nebraska Kearney, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Bakersfield, Ventura, Mt San Jacinto, Riverside, Diablo Valley Colleges, among others, during a sports play by play career which began in 1982. Plus three NCAA tournaments, seven NCAA regionals, ten Calif State CCCAA Championships, six CIF-SS Baseball Finals (Dodger Stadium & the BIG A), College Baseball World Series (Div II), Calif State CIF girls basketball final from Sacramento's Arco Arena & Washington State WIAA baseball championship at Safeco Field in Seattle ("Niehaus Nest!"). Wald-Cast remote sites include: Honolulu, Chicago, Las Vegas, Wichita, SF/Oakland, New Orleans, Spokane, Casper Wyoming, Denver, San Diego, Provo Utah, Boise, Portland, Reno, St Louis, Laramie, Phoenix & Moscow Idaho. Ronnie is the only sports announcer in the western US to have worked NCAA D-I, II, III, NAIA, CIF & JC games on the air. At the NAIA basketball finals in Kansas City, he broadcast a record 7 games in one day and a four-OT thriller. As legendary NBC Olympics play by play announcer Randy Rosenbloom says, "Ronnie Wald is a personable and prepared broadcaster--he is a pro!" Indiana State AD Ron Prettyman quipped, "Wald endears himself to the players, coaches and fans." Memorable Christy Mathewson actor and baseball historian, Eddie Frierson adds, "Incomparable!! Ronnie recalls a classic era when broadcasters were entertaining, perceptive and prepared. He is a true Southern California treasure!" (ed note: "just don't bury me, yet!"). Born in San Diego, Wald is a graduate of Cal State Northridge and LA Pierce College where he served as ASB President and earned the "Chancellors Distinguished Honor Award" from the LACCD. Waldcast has been honored by proclamation in Sacramento by the California State Legislature for outstanding contributions while broadcasting in the Golden State. In 2014, he branched out into sports talk with the acclaimed "WALL to WALD Show" heard nationally on CRN Digital Talk. Says World Series broadcaster Monte Moore.... "I am always proud to say something positive about Ronnie Wald and his impressive Waldcast network!"

WEST RANCH BASEBALL HERE

"7th Inning Stretch..."

As the broadcaster for the Visalia Oaks in Baseball's California League, RONNIE WALD announced the games on KTIP AM Radio owned by legendary OAKLAND A's broadcaster MONTE MOORE (who, incidentially, gave HOFer JON MILLER his first big league announcing break). On that Visalia team was a conflicted player who was close to giving up the game all together after years of toiling in the minor leagues. His subsequent breakout year with the Oaks, by leading the league in steals, inspired him to press on with his major league dream...none other than current Dodgers Manager DAVE ROBERTS!

The oddities don't end there! Ronnie, a devoted 50 year Dodger fan, was surprised to discover that he entered this world on the very day the "Boys in Blue" won their FIRST L.A. WORLD SERIES! Says Wald, "I have been loyal to the Dodgers since grade school. To discover my birth date is the same as their initial Los Angeles World Championship is a singular thrill. GO DODGERS!!" Strange but (very), TRUE!

"A++Job, we can't wait for your CALL tomorrow!!"-UN Kearney
